Inspired by the future use of PRAVA’s building, Derek Larson will use a unique form of “reverse projection mapping” to create an illusion of an office space. Larson cuts out screens to fit certain shapes - in this case a typical office cubical - and then projects only onto those screens. Yet this office space will not be typical; it will be a surreal installation replete with a mirrored oasis on the floor. His projections are brightly colored, flickering from one image to the next. His interdisciplinary sculptures address questions of wealth, youth, and time.
